    Main Circuit Scheme
The main circuit of the GGD cabinet is designed with 129 schemes, totaling 298 specifications (excluding the schemes and specifications derived from the functional changes of the auxiliary circuit and the control voltage).
    • GGD Type: 49 schemes and 123 specifications
    • GGD2 Type: 53 schemes and 107 specifications
    • GGD3 Type: 27 schemes and 68 specifications

The main circuit scheme is selected after seeking the opinions of the design and user departments. The schemes have been expanded to meet the needs of power plants, with the rated current increased to 3150A, suitable for the selection of distribution transformers of 2000kVA and below.

In addition, to meet the needs of reactive power compensation, GGJ1 and GGJ2 capacitor compensation cabinets have been designed, with 4 main circuit schemes and a total of 12 specifications.

    Auxiliary Circuit Scheme

The auxiliary circuit includes the metering supply scheme and the power plant scheme. There is sufficient space inside the GGD cabinet to install secondary components, and NLS has also developed the dedicated LMZ3D AC current transformer to meet the needs of power plants and special users for relay protection.

    Main Busbar

Considering the price ratio and the feasibility of replacing copper with aluminum:

    • A single aluminum busbar is used when the rated current is 1500A or below.
    • Double copper busbars are used when the rated current exceeds 1500A.
    • The manufacturer can replace the aluminum busbar with an equivalent copper busbar according to the user's requirements.
    • The busbar joint surface is treated with tinning process.

    Frequently Asked Questions
Q What are the three models of the GGD AC Low Voltage Power Distribution Cabinet and how do they differ?
The GGD cabinet comes in three models: GGD1, GGD2, and GGD3. They differ primarily in their rated current capacity and short-circuit withstand capability. GGD1 supports up to 1000A with a 15kA short-circuit breaking current; GGD2 supports up to 1600A with 30kA; and GGD3 supports up to 3200A with 50kA and a peak withstand current of 105kA.
Q How many main circuit schemes does the GGD cabinet offer in total?
The GGD cabinet is designed with a total of 129 main circuit schemes and 298 specifications. This includes 49 schemes for GGD type, 53 schemes for GGD2 type, and 27 schemes for GGD3 type, covering a wide range of application requirements.
Q What type of busbar material is used in the GGD cabinet?
The busbar material selection depends on the rated current. A single aluminum busbar is used for rated currents of 1500A or below. For currents exceeding 1500A, double copper busbars are used. Manufacturers may also substitute aluminum busbars with equivalent copper busbars upon user request. All busbar joint surfaces are treated with a tinning process for improved conductivity and corrosion resistance.
Q Does the GGD cabinet support reactive power compensation applications?
Yes. To meet reactive power compensation needs, GGJ1 and GGJ2 capacitor compensation cabinets have been specifically designed. These offer 4 main circuit schemes with a total of 12 specifications, making them suitable for various industrial and commercial power factor correction applications.
Q What are the available cabinet dimensions for the GGD installation?
The GGD cabinet is available in multiple size configurations identified by product codes from TGDD 06 to TGDD 12. Dimension A (width) ranges from 600mm to 1200mm, dimension B (depth) ranges from 600mm to 800mm, dimension C ranges from 450mm to 1050mm, and dimension D ranges from 556mm to 756mm, offering flexible installation options for different site requirements.
Q What special components are available for the GGD auxiliary circuit?
The GGD cabinet's auxiliary circuit supports both metering supply schemes and power plant schemes. NLS has developed the dedicated LMZ3D AC current transformer specifically for this cabinet. The interior provides sufficient space for secondary components, making it well-suited for relay protection applications in power plants and for special industrial users.
