    Structural Features

2.XGN15-12 Box Type Fixed Ring Main Unit Switchgear.jpg

    △Cabinet Structure

The ring main unit cabinet is made of 2mm thick aluminum-zinc plate (or cold-rolled plate after powder coating) riveted and formed. There are two pressure release holes at the back of the cabinet, one for the cable compartment and the other for the load switch/main busbar compartment. This structure ensures maximum protection for personal safety and reliable operation of the equipment.

    △Various Compartmentalized Small Rooms

1.Busbar Compartment: The busbar compartment is located at the top of thecabinet and connects adjacent switchgears.

2.Load switch is an independent unit, filled with SF6 gas internally.

3.Cable Compartment: Approximately 75% of the space is used for cableconnections, fuses, grounding switches, and the installation of CTs and PTs.

    4.Mechanism Room and Interlocking

The small room contains operating mechanisms and interlocks, as well as position indicators, auxiliary contacts, trip coils, live displays, and interlocks.

    5.Relay Box

The relay box is located at the top of the cabinet and is optional. The small room is used to install special devices such as instruments, relays, and motor units.

6.Circuit Breaker Room: A circuit breaker (Sf6 or vacuum) can beplaced below theload switch.

    △Pressure release

    1.The upper pressure release

It is used to release the gas pressure generated in the busbar and load switch room during internal arc faults.

    2.The pressure relief below

It is used to release the gas pressure generated in the cable compartment during internal arc faults.

    Product Functions

This switchgear serves as a primary control and protection device within 12kV power distribution networks. Its core function is to safely connect, carry, and interrupt normal and fault currents in both ring main and radial power supply configurations. Specifically designed for integration into prefabricated substations, it ensures stable and protected power distribution, enhancing the overall safety and manageability of the electrical system.

    Applicable Environment

The switchgear is designed for indoor installation under specific environmental conditions. The ambient air temperature should range from -15°C to +40°C, with an altitude of up to 1000m (high-altitude models available). It requires controlled humidity: the daily average relative humidity should not exceed 95%, and the monthly average should not exceed 90%. The installation site must not exceed a seismic intensity of 8 degrees and should be free from corrosive or flammable gases, vapors, and significant contamination.

    Product Highlights

This switchgear stands out due to its advanced features and robust design. Key highlights include its compact size and light weight for easier installation and space efficiency. It ensures user safety and operational simplicity with low operating force and highly reliable mechanical interlocking systems. The maintenance-free SF6 load switch units enhance long-term operational economy. Furthermore, its design and manufacturing fully comply with major international and national standards, including GB, IEC, and DL/T, guaranteeing high quality and global applicability.
