Xlpe Insulated Power Cable

A crucial component of power transmission and distribution systems, these cables transmit and distribute large volumes of current. Our company's 1-35KV plastic-insulated power cables fully comply with GB/T12706-2002 and IEC60502-1997 standards. Derivatives of these, flame-retardant, fire-resistant, cold-resistant, and waterproof power cables are produced in a series and specialized manner. Among them, flame-retardant power cables are available in three flame-retardant grades: A, B, and C. Grade A flame-retardant cables utilize a new flame-retardant structure, ensuring that their electrical performance fully meets national standards, and their bundled burning test also fully meets the requirements of Grade A in GB/T18380.3 "Bundled Wires or Cables - Burning Test Method". Our fire-resistant power cables exhibit excellent and reliable overall performance, and their fire resistance meets the requirements of GB/T12666.6-90 "Test Methods for Burning of Wires and Cables - Fire Resistance Characteristics Test Methods".

    Technical Performance

    The maximum rated temperature for PVC insulated cable conductors is 70°C, and during a short circuit (not exceeding 5 seconds) the maximum temperature of the cable conductor should not exceed 160°C. For XLPE insulated cable conductors, the maximum rated temperature is 90°C, and during a short circuit (not exceeding 5 seconds) the maximum temperature of the cable conductor should not exceed 250°C. When installing cables with PVC insulation or sheathing, the ambient temperature should not be lower than 0°C. The minimum bending radius can be found in Table 1-1.

    AC voltage test: 
    For power cables with U0 of 1~1.8KV, the corresponding power frequency test voltage is 2.5U0 2KV, and it should not break down for 5 minutes. For power cables with U0 of 3.6~18KV, the corresponding power frequency test voltage is 3.5U0, and it should not break down for 5 minutes. For power cables with U0 of 21~26KV, the corresponding power frequency test voltage is 2.5U0, and it should not break down for 30 minutes. The specific routine test voltages are shown in Table 1-2:

    Partial Discharge Test:

    Cables with cross-linked polyethylene insulation and a rated voltage U0 of 1.8kV or higher should go through a partial discharge test. At 1.73 times U0, the partial discharge shouldn't go over 5PC.
